Glitterbug Glass

Welcome to Glitterbug Glass. What started out to be a hobbie has become a wonderful passion for fused glass art. We work mostly with Dichroic glass which has a shimmering effect similar to the irridescence observed in an Opal. When viewed in different lighting, colors seem to glitter and change. We hope you enjoy our pieces as much as we enjoy creating them. 

Each piece of wearable art is kilned fired. Most pieces have 2-4 layers of glass. After the first firing, each piece is cut and ground into shape, then fired again at approx. 1500 degrees. After this process the glass is allowed to cool slowly (annealing) for strength and durability.

We create our one-of-a-kind, hand made, fused glass art in our Greenwood, Indiana studio
